Music Program Director: Mr. Alann Pak


Mr. Pak joined the Moorpark Music Family in August 2018. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education-Instrumental Music from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach in December 2016, and received his teaching credential from CSU, Long Beach College of Education in June 2018. He has wide-ranging experience teaching high school students in music education across Southern California, including Arcadia High, Crescenta Valley High School, La Quinta High; Rosemead High, Temple City High, Mayfair High, and Woodbridge High.
In addition to his instrumental music teaching and performance strengths, Mr. Pak also brings notable drum corps and marching arts experience to Moorpark High’s marching band program. Mr. Pak’s drum corps careen began with Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in 2011 and continued through 2015, where he was selected and performed on Lead Baritone. An accomplished musician, Mr. Pak was also selected to perform with the Pacific Crest Brass Ensemble, and won First Place in the Individual & Ensemble Competition. He also has professional experience in Visual Instruction, Choreography, and Drill Design.
Mr. Pak was also honored to be a selected Educator with the Honors Performance Series, where he had the opportunity to instruct in London, England in July 2019. The Honors Performance Series assembles some of the world’s rising young musicians to perform under the baton of master conductors at several of the worlds’ most celebrated concert halls: Carnegie Hall in New York City, USA, Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia; Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre in London, England; and the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria. Mr. Pak also served as a Carnegie Hall High School Finalist Chaperone, accompanying a Moorpark High School student finalist.
